Where it all began…Twenty-five years ago, Tom and Sue Lange purchased 80 acres in Dade City hoping to one day build their future home. With the first year set aside for clearing land, friends advised they take a chance and live on property to see if farm life was what they wanted.
Over the next few years Tom and Sue constructed the first barn in anticipation of the arrival of their first foal. Realizing new potential for the farm, they moved elsewhere and began to hire staff to help coordinate day to day business which led to building our current horse barn, hosting annual rodeos and in 1996 the beginning of corporate functions on the farm.
With continued interest in the farm for weddings, the Garden House was built in 2002 follwing Tom's retirement.
Over the past 10 years, Tom and Sue have managed the farm with over 100 weddings being held annually. The Lange Farm now boasts 2 wonderful reception locations with endless outdoor ceremony sites under shady oak trees.
Today the farm operates with 3 full-time coordinators who work continuously on booking new clients and forming relationships with current brides to help create the wedding they have always dreamed of.
ALSO, A quick FYI to our friends, followers & couples. We have a portion of our acreage that is adjacent (and invisible) to the Lange Farm's property for sale. We have had it for years and decided instead of leaving it vacant and completely unused, to list the property for sale. This DOES NOT affect The Horse Farm business or ANY of our wedding event operations. Please rest assured that the "for sale" status of this acreage is unrelated to The Lange Farm's day-to-day activities and current + future event and wedding venue rentals. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask!
